Tonight's highlight song is River Deep, Mountain High by Glee Cast. This song is a duet from the characters Mercedes and Santana, part of a duet competition, and they somehow didn't win?? Like. It's one of the best songs from the show, it's in my top ten Glee songs. Both of these ladies sing so fucking well, give it a listen!

Hirata Shihoko & Lotus Juice: Break Out Of...

To me, the last great roar of the Persona 4 mini-franchise was not Gold, or Dancing All Night or those Q games...it was the Ultimax. Fighting games set in a RPG's canon? Sign me the fuck up. Also...those covers? Brotagonist for the win. The song itself is legitimately a banger, Wild Rapper Appears be damned.

We have Risette and Teddie

For Rise I wanted to keep her cute but add some level of maturity to her, so her hair would be half tied, almost fusing her epilogue and her dancing look. She's still an idol, and I think in her outfit she would always reference yasogami high in a way so I kept the pattern and the yellow, but noonger ressembling a school uniform. Her outfit is also inspired a bit by Shihoko Hirata's outfit in one of the Persona Superlives, The yellow puffy ruffles are so cute.

Teddie is a bit simple. Hear me out, this would probably end up in disaster but I could see him becoming the next manager of the Junes Inaba branch. He would either charm his way into success or pummel down, but he does it with a smile. He would still wear his mascot costume, but when he's in business mode he wears a teddie hat and a suit with his palette.

a p5 headcanon i have is that ren has a very wide vocal range and most of the vocal songs are diagetically sung by him in universe with throw your mask away and no more what ifs being the only exceptions (which would be sung by maruki and akechi, respectively, and are only still voiced by lyn because they didn't want to hire additional singers for singular songs)

part of the reason for this is the fact q2's intro starts with him mouthing the lyrics and conveniently stops at the exact moment it switches from lyn to yumi

also it means all of the newsona battle themes are diagetic, mass destruction, wiping all out, and it's going down now are from the protag's mp3 player (aigis in the answer, being a robot, could also probably play music whenever and thus the answer soundtrack could also be diagetic) and reach out to the truth and time to make history are playing on yosuke's headphones

i mean on a related note the last thing kind of implies shihoko hirata is a singer in-universe, same as all the others, which means you could interpret most of the soundtrack as being songs stuck in yu's head throughout the game

I bought the pamphlet for the P4 anime movie that was sold at theaters during the movie's screenings. In Ami Koshimizu's interview (Yukiko VA), she talks about being a fellow Adachi fangirl lol. She even put a heart by his name... Gasp...

She's intrigued by how elusive he is, like he's weaving in and out of a crowd; like you want to get close to him ("within reach"), but you can't. And he also has the "gap" moe going for him (referring to how he changes gears after the reveal). She notes that she enjoyed Mitsuaki Madono's performance as Adachi during episodes 24-25 as well.

The standout song from this grouping is Ordinary Day by Great Big Sea. It's a wonderful song, boosts my mood every time, and it's a song I'm allowed to play on aux! Give it a listen!
